Connected Futures is a design strategy consultancy founded by Jaimes Nel in 2012. We craft richly researched strategic frameworks that help teams build coherent and valuable user experiences.
We specialise in developing cohesive frameworks that help organisations create a “true north” in multiple stakeholder, multiple channel environments and use a wealth of experience in creative, design-oriented research to discover opportunities and manage the risk of strategic change.
Jaimes started his digital career in the ’90s when that meant doing a little of everything, taking a detour through photography before bringing his interests in people, organisations and technology together by gaining a BA Sociology and MA Social Research at Goldsmiths in London.
He worked for pioneering service design studio Live|work for 5 years, leaving as Head of Research and has since been an independent strategy consultant through Connected Futures.
Jaimes has worked in a wide-range of sectors, including government, health care, financial services, telecoms and media. Clients include the Government Digital Service, NHS, Prudential, Ebay, Johnson&Johnson, BBC, Faber&Faber, Orange Telecom, Volkswagen and many others.
